Introducing our New Day August Practice Member of the Month!

Congratulations, practice member Brenda D.!

We are so grateful for who you are, the progress that you continue to make,

and the commitment you have made to your spinal health and wellness.

You are making the world a better place!

We honor you this month and thank you for being part of our New Day community.

Why I came to New Day:

“I came to see Dr. Katie after having a discussion with my friend, Amy V. She shared her personal experience with Network Care, and told me a story that Dr. Katie had shared with her that really resonated with me. She said that, the correction of the spine was more than improving our  posture, and that pain we experience in our back can be a physical manifestation of “the emotions we carry in our backpack.”

I imagined this backpack on myself, and all of the emotional baggage I was carrying with me. I even imagined myself wearing two backpacks! I decided to take Amy up on her offer to give me one of her “Free New Patient Appointment Gift Certificate”, and I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Katie  at New Day.”

My chiropractic results:

“Before I began seeing Dr. Katie, my understanding of chiropractic care had always been about pain relief, not about true changes to our bodies. I had to put that aside and realize that pain might be part of the healing process.

Since I started care in May, I can definitely tell my posture is more aligned, because it was visibly crooked before. My shoulders aren’t hunched the same as before.  And I can breathe a lot deeper– which is HUGE for me! I used to have very shallow breathing.

I feel lighter both mentally and physically in my body, and I feel taller! I can’t remember if Dr. Katie measured how tall I was when I started care, but I imagine I am taller now.”

Why I continue my care with Dr. Katie:

“I continue coming to New Day because it’s not just the adjustments for me. It is about the relationship that I have with Dr. Katie and Amber, and the sense of being in community with other people in the office before or after our appointments.

I can tell there is still more work to be done—it took years for my body and spine to get to this point, and I don’t expect to have it “cured magically” overnight!

But there is something extra-special about the care with Dr. Katie. I can come in for a session and say I hurt something or some part of my body feels a specific way, and she gives special attention to the flow of the care where I need it most. I never feel rushed, like the day Amber suggested a double-session, and it made for an unexpected and extraordinary experience in my healing. That felt really good!

I know that there is not a finite amount of those extraordinary experiences here!”
